The feasibility studies of the SDUGA green zone preservation and enhancement project aim to provide the actors and parties involved in the development of the green zone with operational tools for the implementation of preservation and enhancement actions in the face of to the pressure of urban expansion, the growth of economic activities and environmental degradation.
The green zone, designated as the study perimeter, is located essentially between the urban spot and the SDUGA planning perimeter. Made up of the Deferred Development Zone (ZAD) and protected areas, it represents 64% of the SDUGA territory and covers approximately 246,000 ha classified as protected areas and deferred development zones (ZAD). The strategic areas of intervention in terms of preserving and promoting the green zone concern : the environment, waste management, water, sustainable development and tourism.
The study covers an area of 4.395 million inhabitants.

- Actions 1 and 2 : Inception report and inventory of the green zone territory
- Actions 3 and 4 : Green zone development plan and zoning report
- Actions 5 and 6 : Communication and awareness strategy and final project report
